Thermocouple cables
Thermocouple cables
NiCr-Ni (Type K) thermocouple cables are used to manufacture or extend thermocouples of the same type. Cables with FEP insulation and sheathing can be used at ambient temperatures up to 205°C. The two conductors of this thermocouple cable are made of the same alloys as Type K (NiCr-Ni) thermocouples. The thermocouples made from this material therefore meet accuracy class 1 (Cl. 1) of the international standard DIN EN 60584.
The extension of existing Type K thermocouples is also possible and does not result in any additional measurement error. The Type K thermocouple cable made of glass fiber and stainless steel braid can be used at operating temperatures from -60 to +350°C. These cables are often used to extend thermocouples of the same type. Due to the stainless steel braid and glass fiber insulation, this cable is very robust and can be used in both high and low ambient temperatures.
We offer connection cables, compensation cables, copper cables, thermocouple wires, thermocouple cables and extension cables.
Glass fibre cables are highly temperature-resistant and can withstand very high temperatures (up to 400 °C). This is the biggest advantage of glass fibre cables over other cable insulation materials such as PVC, silicone or PFA.
On request, we can offer numerous other cables, including in larger quantities.
Please feel free to contact us by telephone, we will be happy to advise you!
Compensation cables consist of so-called substitute materials, which have a different chemical composition than the materials of the corresponding thermocouple. The substitute materials have the same thermoelectric properties as the corresponding thermocouple within the permissible application temperature range for compensation cables. A thermocouple cable consists of the same metals as the thermocouple itself. Compensation cables are often less expensive than thermocouple cables.
