Glass fibre cables are highly temperature-resistant and can withstand very high temperatures (up to 400 °C). This is the biggest advantage of glass fibre cables over other cable insulation materials such as PVC, silicone or PFA.

What is the difference between a thermal cable and a compensation cable?

Compensation cables consist of so-called substitute materials, which have a different chemical composition than the materials of the corresponding thermocouple. The substitute materials have the same thermoelectric properties as the corresponding thermocouple within the permissible application temperature range for compensation cables. A thermocouple cable consists of the same metals as the thermocouple itself. Compensation cables are often less expensive than thermocouple cables.

What kind of types of gas probes does B+B have?

At B+B, you will find various gas probes that differ from one another in terms of their operating principle and thus their area of application. B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH's product range basically includes flue gas probes, a multi-hole probe and exhaust gas probes.

Can B+B produce customised items?

Where do you use exhaust gas probes?

Exhaust gas probes are used for monitoring and control in heating technology, buildings, industrial plants, combustion plants, vehicles and large vehicles such as tanks to monitor emissions and ensure efficiency and safety. They help to monitor compliance with environmental regulations and increase safety by controlling exhaust gases.

What are the special features of the flue gas probes from B+B?

B+B offers probes with a heated pistol grip. This heating reduces condensation. The handle also has a soot filter holder. B+B also sells probes for combustion plants (1. BImSchV), multi-hole probes and special probes for exhaust gas measurements on large vehicles, e.g. lorries, buses and tanks.

What are the key feastures of the flue gas probes?

The Firebird TGD flue gas probe has a screw-off coaxial probe tube, separate gas/pressure paths, a stainless steel protective tube and a moulded handle. The Eco TGD flue gas probe also has a moulded handle and impresses with its fast response time. In addition, a slotted hole is visible on the measuring tip. The Sigma flue gas probe, on the other hand, differs in particular in its heated handle, optional screw-off probe tube and R6 soot filter holder.

Error message regarding VAT during registration

When registering in the B2B shop, an automatic query of the VAT ID is run in the background on the server of the Federal Central Tax Office in order to validate it. Unfortunately, this server is often unavailable, which is why you receive the error message ‘VAT number ID invalid’. What is the accuracy of the FLW-122?

The FLW-122 achieves an accuracy of <3% of the measured value. However, this is highly dependent on the evaluation electronics used.

Which flow sensors is the module compatible with?

The module is compatible with FS5/7 and OOL flow sensors.

Which parameters are recorded for air quality measurement?

Air quality measurements primarily record pollutants such as particulate matter, nitrogen dioxide, ozone, carbon monoxide, sulphur dioxide and volatile organic compounds (VOCs), as well as climatic parameters such as temperature, humidity and CO₂ concentration, in order to assess both outdoor and indoor air quality.

What does the installation of this sensor look like?

When installing the duct sensor, the sensor tube should point downwards to prevent measurement errors due to the self-heating of the electronics. It should be noted at this point that the sensor has a certain degree of pressure resistance at the head, but is not suitable for use with compressed air at higher pressures. If the sensor is to be used outdoors, a weatherproof housing is recommended. The operating instructions for our duct sensor also include a drilling template for installation.

Which protective filter is used with the duct sensor?

The humidity sensor comes with a 25 µm PE sintered filter as standard. Other filters and special hydrophobic filters are of course available as optional accessories.

What types of duct sensors are available from B+B?

The channel sensors can be individually configured using three different components: the measured variable (temperature, temperature and humidity), the output signal (0...10 V or 4...20 mA) and the version with or without display.

What are duct sensors and what are they used for?
