The regular control, testing and documentation of measured values is an important factor in quality assurance and, in most cases, even a requirement. It is only through calibration that a measuring instrument can live up to its high claim of incorruptible reliability. But also the own feeling of security, the fulfillment of audit requirements, the optimization of resource utilization and the reduction of energy consumption play a major role. From our point of view, professional measurement technology and calibration is a question of experience and competence. From the customer's point of view, it is primarily a question of trust. To ensure measurement accuracy, we therefore maintain a calibration laboratory for the variables temperature, relative humidity, pressure and brightness. Calibration is carried out taking into account the latest findings from science and research and according to procedures that are also used in the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt. The reference instruments used by us are traceable to national standards.
In our technology-laden times, correct measurement is of central importance, because inaccurate measurements can have expensive economic consequences. We calibrate the following temperature products: electrical temperature sensors with or without transducers, resistance thermometers Pt100, Pt1000, NTC etc., thermocouples, temperature sensors in various designs (immersion sensors, screw-in sensors, surface sensors, cable sensors etc.), electrical display devices such as table-top or panel-mounted display devices and temperature data loggers.

Due to mechanical, thermal or chemical stresses and influences, measuring instruments provide changed readings over time. This is a normal process and cannot be prevented. However, timely calibration can counteract this problem. The probes are calibrated and tested at several temperatures or pressures. Brightness / Motion
The brightness sensors of B+B Thermo-Technik are calibrated or adjusted with a precise luxmeter at four points. Then the exact amplification of the transducer is determined and the characteristic curve is calculated. Now the values are written into an EPROM so that at the end a linear scaled output signal of 0...10 V is available.
