Thermocouple connectors are the ideal connection of components with thermocouple materials. Where temperatures are measured and tested with thermocouples and the portability of the measuring device or probe is an important criterion, B+B thermocouple connectors are used. Due to their design, the thermocouple connectors are protected against polarity reversal and - depending on the version (type K, J, S, T, N, R, B) - can be used up to +900°C. All contacts of the B+B standard connectors are made of thermocouple material and therefore no new thermocouples can form at the connection points.
The connectors are available in different types (type K - yellow, type J - black, type E - violet, type N - brown (HTK), type J - brown (HTK), type K - green, type N - light pink, type K - brown (HTK), type S, type T, type R and type B). The different colors of our housings are analogous to the color coding of the different national and international standards (DIN IEC 584-3, DIN EN 60584).
Connectors and couplings
The connectors are offered in a standard variant and in a miniature variant. The range includes standard plugs, standard double plugs, standard couplings, standard double couplings, standard coupling receptacles, miniature plugs, miniature double plugs, miniature couplings, miniature double couplings, miniature couplings for printed circuit boards, miniature receptacles and miniature coupling receptacles.
Plastic, HTK and ceramic
The connectors are made of the glass fiber reinforced plastic PA6-GF-30 and are suitable for a temperature range between -50°C and +120°C. Connectors made of the high-temperature plastic (also known as HTK) Ryton, on the other hand, are even suitable for temperatures up to +220°C. If connectors are required for a temperature range from -80°C to +900°C, ceramic connectors are suitable.
B+B also offers a selected range of Lemo plugs, Lemo couplings and Lemo receptacles. Matching the entire range of thermocouple plugs, there are numerous accessories: mounting brackets, panels, compression fittings and strain reliefs in various sizes and dimensions to match the respective plugs, couplings and coupling sockets.
