Humidity probes
B+B Thermo-Technik GmbH offers a wide range of different humidity sensors. These include outdoor sensors, dew point sensors, humidity and temperature sensors, industrial sensors, duct sensors, compact sensors, leakage sensors, pendulum sensors, room sensors and room humidity sensors.
Outdoor sensors
Our outdoor sensor meets the requirements of a reliable and precise humidity and temperature sensor. This product is available in various designs: 0...10 V or 4...20 mA (two-wire technology) are available as output signals for the measured temperature or temperature and humidity. In addition, there are also versions of the outdoor sensor with an e-paper display. The sintered filter mounted on the sensor tip provides optimum protection for the sensitive sensor technology, ensuring that the B+B outdoor sensor functions reliably even in harsh environmental conditions.
Dew probes
The condensation sensor from B+B is a combination sensor consisting of two corresponding individual sensors. While one of the two sensors (a resistive dew point sensor using thick-film technology) reacts to high relative humidity values, the second sensor (a conductance sensor printed as an interdigital structure) detects any condensation. The combined process results in a reliable switching method, making the dew point sensor suitable for critical applications.
Humidity and temperature probes
Our extensive product range also includes sensors that combine multiple measurement parameters. These combination sensors include, for example, humidity and temperature sensors. Examples of such humidity and temperature sensors are room, outdoor, duct and pendulum sensors.
Industrial probes
Robust humidity sensors and temperature sensors that are specifically designed for continuous use are particularly important in industrial applications. The innovative design and use of state-of-the-art sensor technology in our industrial sensors ensures high measurement accuracy, even at low humidity levels.
Duct sensors
The duct sensor from the GLT series was specially designed for use in air conditioning and building services engineering. The stainless steel sensor tube is inserted into the ventilation duct. A sintered filter is located at the tip of the sensor, which effectively protects the sensor technology.
The evaluation electronics are located in a plastic housing on the rear of the sensor tube. The connection terminals are easily accessible here. The output signal for the measured temperature and humidity is available as 0...10 V or 4...20 mA (two-wire technology). In addition, the duct sensor is also available with an e-paper display.
Compact probes
The B+B compact sensor from the GLT series was specially designed for these requirements: both the sensor technology and the transmitter electronics are housed in a slim stainless steel casing. The sintered filter at the tip of the sensor reliably protects the sensor technology from contamination. The output signal for the measured temperature and humidity is available as 0...10 V or 4...20 mA (two-wire technology). The connection is made via an M12 connector on the rear of the device.
Leakage sensors
The sensor is mounted facing downwards in a mounting plate that is raised above the floor by spacers. The gold-plated surface and AC power supply prevent electrolysis effects and ensure reliable switching behaviour even in contaminated media. Typical areas of application include leak detection and monitoring of collection trays. The sensor is heated on the rear side to ensure reliable operation on damp surfaces. The leak sensor is designed for connection to the B+B universal sensor switching module and the leak detector, which performs the evaluation and provides a switching output with a potential-free relay. Suitable liquids are all aqueous, conductive liquids, such as tap water. The device is not suitable for flammable, aggressive, corrosive or electrically insulating liquids.
Pendulum sensors
The B+B pendulum sensor from the GLT series is ideal for this purpose: the sensor technology is housed in a separate, slim stainless steel tube and protected from contamination by a sintered filter.
The transmitter electronics are housed in a plastic enclosure, which also contains the connection terminals. The output signal for the measured temperature and humidity is available as 0...10 V or 4...20 mA (two-wire technology). In addition, the pendulum sensor is also available with an e-paper display.
Depending on the model, our outdoor sensors feature a high-quality plastic housing with IP protection class IP 54 or IP 65.
We generally offer three different versions of the outdoor sensor. Firstly, there are the temperature/humidity sensors with item numbers beginning with FF-GLT-. We also offer a special outdoor temperature sensor that features a wide variety of sensors and is easy to mount on the wall. Furthermore, there is the new GLT series (building management technology series) with item numbers beginning with 0551. These are available from B+B both as temperature sensors and as sensors for the combined measurement variables of temperature and humidity. Outdoor sensors from the new GLT series Reliable and precise temperature and humidity sensors are required in industrial and building automation. The B+B outdoor sensor from the GLT series meets this requirement and is available in different versions: 0-10 volts or 4-20 mA (two-wire technology) are available as output signals for the measured temperature or temperature and humidity. In addition, the outdoor sensors are also available with a paper white display. The sintered filter mounted on the sensor tip provides optimum protection for the sensitive sensor technology, ensuring that the B+B outdoor sensor functions reliably even in harsh environmental conditions.
Yes, customised designs are available on request. Please note that due to the planning and implementation costs involved, we can only produce customised designs for orders with a minimum value of €500.00.
The humidity sensor comes with a 25 µm PE sintered filter as standard. Other filters and special hydrophobic filters are of course available as optional accessories.
The channel sensors can be individually configured using three different components: the measured variable (temperature, temperature and humidity), the output signal (0...10 V or 4...20 mA) and the version with or without display.
Duct sensors have been specially developed for installation in ventilation or air conditioning ducts. They measure the air temperature and/or humidity directly in the air flow, thus providing precise data for control and monitoring systems.
