For the easy integration of I²C measurement devices B+B has developed this plug and play computer interface. With the help of the interface I²C probes and modules can be operated via computer to view measuring data right away or to test a probe's or sensor's function. The USB-I²C connection adapter converts I²C to USB by a simple ASCII sequence. The USB-driver software emulates a serial COM-interface. The ASCII protocol of data communication is well documented and hence integration into userdefined programmes through standard communication routines in all modern programming languages are possible. The interface adapter is also suitable for accessing the ASIC for example to programme another I²C address. Further information on ASIC and programming can be obtained from us on request.
